THE STORY
Greatness, whether Tamara wanted to accept it or not, was something that ran strong in her family. When all she wanted to do was find a way to live out her life on her terms and in her own way, she often found herself trying to outrun the expectations of that shadow.
When given an opportunity to run off with her best friend, Kalla, and join a black market crew of smugglers comprised of Micah – the team leader, Maverick – the field medic, Gabriel – the weapons tech and Imahn – the job facilitator where they would be doing work that no one would be inspired by, Tamara found it very hard to turn it down. To make it more exciting, this opportunity led her to be gifted with god like superhuman powers … even if it was by mistake.
Unfortunately for her, the shadow of greatness is hard to outrun when it turns out that this same black market crew also works for her (in)famous aunt Aaren who was a part of the original military crew of humans who made first contact with aliens.
The longer Tamara stays with the crew, the more she’s forced to realize a number of truths that lead her towards her ultimate reckoning: she’s not the only victim to these expectations and it’s up to her to decide on a new legacy.
